There are so many different products in the world that exist only to serve a specific gender as opposed to every one. We know what you’re thinking, “why would an inanimate object need to be associated with a gender?” And whilst we agree with you, this phenomenon has been occurring for a very, very long time.

We’re sure that there are still pens that exist in the world today that are associated with one gender over the other, but we have no doubt it is done in a far more subtle way. This advertisement blatantly states that it is better for women because of its size. At least women didn’t have to lug around the regular “man-size jotter.”
