There is no denying that when it comes to the male perception of women, they tend to have a warped view of reality. For a long time, women were made out to be these compliant, keen, and eager-to-please house workers who would keep a home and raise children, often at the cost of further developing any skills or hopes they had for themselves.

This washer and dryer advertisement suggests that this fictional character, “Jean,” couldn’t be happier now that she has her washer and dryer. Sure, buying a new washer and dryer at any point in life is exciting; however, it is a weird and rather sexist gift to buy your wife. Let’s be honest; it isn’t much of a gift, is it?
