If there was ever a villain in the history of comic books and superhero movies that was both distinct yet versatile, it has to be the Joker. Even though he is generally identified by the creepy red cuts extending his smile, a whitewashed face, green hair, and purple clothes, each appearance of the Joker in different comics, cartoons, games, movies, and shows is slightly different.

Of course, there isn’t telling which one is the best (The Dark Knight version, of course), as each has played out the same characteristics and idiosyncrasies with variances in quirky Joker mannerisms. With each take, however, it is safe to say that there is a lot more depth to this villain than others.
