The Many Different Times People Saw Curious and Comical Things on the Subway

We’ve all seen Victorian gentlemen standing across from us on the subway, complete with top hats and overcoats, preparing to light their pipes. Anyone who claims that this is not a common occurrence is clearly deluded or trying to cover up the fact that a collection of Victorian gentlemen plagues the underground.

One could have been forgiven for thinking that Willy Wonka himself had graced us with his presence and was handing out sweets to unsuspecting travelers. I’m pretty sure that once he finishes smoking his pipe, he’ll start throwing around everlasting gobstoppers and Wonka chocolate bars for people to munch on.
