While this is probably the strangest-looking Big Bird I have ever seen, I must give the costume designer and wearer a great pat on the back for ingenuity and bravery. For a costume that has very clearly been made at home, it is an impressive feat of creativity and sewing skills.

In addition, getting on the subway as Big Bird is an action that will undoubtedly lead to hundreds of questions, comments, and hugs from little children. If you’re ready for that, no problem, but you better also be ready for the suspicious and disapproving stares you’ll get from their parents.
