#30: D.B. Cooper Heist
Year of disappearance: 1971
Year of discovery: never found
D.B. Cooper, the pseudonym of one of history’s most daring criminals, became a legend on November 24, 1971. During a routine flight from Portland to Seattle, he coolly hijacked a Boeing 727, demanding $200,000 and parachutes.

After releasing the passengers, Cooper leaped from the plane mid-flight into the night sky, vanishing without a trace. Despite exhaustive investigations and countless theories, his identity and fate remain unsolved over 50 years later.
