A Real Life Superhero
This brave man performed a true Christmas miracle on Christmas Eve in 2021. Sirizani Butau is a truck driver who was minding his own business on the Harare-Mutare Highway in Zimbabwe when he saw a serious car accident. A bus carrying over 60 people collided with a fuel tanker and caused a massive, lethal explosion.
According to witnesses, Butau ran into the burning bus and pulled out eight people without a second thought for his own safety. Not many people would risk their lives for the safety of strangers, so Butau’s bravery and selflessness made headlines. He suffered third-degree burns but was later honored by Emmerson Mnangagwa, Zimbabwe’s president.
