#14: The Flannan Isle Lighthouse Keepers
Is it just us, or is there something incredibly creepy about a lighthouse? Sure, they are big, beautiful structures that act as a point of reference for people out at sea, but there is something very mysterious about them… Even though lighthouses aren’t used the same way as they once were, they used to be very active once upon a time. In December of 1900, three men headed to do their six-week shift at the Flannan Isle lighthouse off the coast of Scotland but never returned home… After several seamen had noticed no light coming from the lighthouse, they raised alarms with the lighthouse board.

Someone on board the ship doing a routine check of the lighthouse went ashore to understand what was happening. Upon arrival, everything seemed completely normal until he approached the door, and it was locked. He noticed that the fire hadn’t been lit for a few days, and a meal was left on the kitchen table as if it was intended to be eaten. After searching the whole lighthouse, it was declared that the men were missing, and their disappearance remains a mystery,
